About Us

Welcome to the Stanislaus County Bicycle Club. I hope you find, as I have, how fun it can be to have a group of supportive people ride with you.  That's our number one priority - supporting each other in riding. But, we also support bicycle riding, in general, in Stanislaus County.  We have active participation in many community bicycling events and are on the Board of the Modesto Bicycle Advisory Committee and STANCOG's Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Committee.  On these committees we are able to make a positive difference for riding safely in Stanislaus County, like our Share-the-Road signs placed throughout the county, and for bike infrastructure within our cities.  Likewise, we help to train new and experienced riders through clinics.  We have beginner 'C' routes which are led by experienced ride leaders who help you with your riding.  We cover topics which are of interest to riders of all levels at our monthly meetings and we offer ride clinics and trainings to our Ride Leaders to help in effectively training all members on the road.  Again, safety is a priority and the better riders we become, the safer we ride.  Last, but not least, we are a social group.  We enjoy visiting while riding, eating together (our club moto:  Ride to Eat : ), learning together and working together.  We hope you will 'pedal on' with SCBC.

Our Story

The Stanislaus County Bicycle Club was formed in 1982 by cycling enthusiasts, to promote recreational bicycling safety, touring, racing, tandem riding, and commuting.
